Dodge County Crash Claims Life of 84-Year-Old Woman, Leaves Another Seriously Injured

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. – Authorities have confirmed that one person has died and another was seriously injured in a crash that occurred late last month in the Township of Lowell. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office provided the update in a Facebook post on Monday, identifying the victim as 84-year-old Judith Scott-Steinberg of Reeseville.

The Collision

The crash took place on Thursday, August 29, just after 12:00 p.m. along State Highway 16/60 at O’Sixteen Road. Deputies determined that Scott-Steinberg, driving a Buick Lacrosse, failed to yield the right of way and struck a Honda Pilot that was towing a boat on a trailer.

The impact of the collision caused extensive damage and left multiple people injured. Emergency crews from Clyman, Lowell, and Reeseville Fire Departments responded to assist at the scene.

Victims Identified

Scott-Steinberg was initially transported to a medical center in Beaver Dam before being transferred to UW Hospital in Madison. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later died from her injuries.

The 73-year-old driver of the Honda Pilot sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local medical facility. His 74-year-old wife, who was a passenger, was more seriously hurt. She was rushed to a medical center with serious injuries, though officials have not provided an update on her current condition.
