Salisbury Police Seek Public’s Help in Case of Missing Man, Later Found Deceased

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Police Department initially sought the public’s assistance in locating 29-year-old Daequan White, who was last seen on Friday, September 5, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the 200 block of E. Main Street.

Authorities described Mr. White as standing 5’10” tall, weighing around 150 pounds, and last seen wearing a black t-shirt, green cargo pants, and black Jordan tennis shoes. His sudden disappearance prompted a widespread search effort, with police urging community members to share any information that might help locate him.

Tragically, on Monday, September 8, 2025, the case took a heartbreaking turn when officers located Mr. White’s body in the Wicomico River near the 300 block of W. Main Street. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene. His identity was later confirmed by investigators, and his family was immediately notified.

Following his disappearance, Salisbury Police conducted extensive search efforts, interviewing family members and associates, canvassing areas where he was last seen, and pursuing leads from the public. Despite these efforts, the discovery of his body brought a devastating end to the search.

Mr. White’s remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death. At this time, the circumstances surrounding how he entered the water remain under active investigation.

The Salisbury Police Department expressed gratitude to the Maryland State Police, Salisbury Fire Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for their assistance in this difficult case.
