Authorities say the collision took place at approximately 8:36 p.m. on August 29, 2025, when a red dirt bike struck a Hemet Fire Department fire engine traveling southbound on State Street. According to preliminary findings, the dirt bike was heading eastbound on Chambers Street when it collided with the passenger side of Hemet Fire Engine 2.
