Paducah Teen Arrested in Brutal Assault, Kidnapping, and Robbery Case in McCracken County

McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. – Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office have arrested an 18-year-old Paducah man in connection with a violent assault, kidnapping, and robbery that occurred on August 30, 2025, along Noble Road. The shocking incident left one man hospitalized with serious injuries and has prompted an extensive investigation.

Deputies Respond to Disturbing Scene

At approximately 7000 block of Noble Road, deputies were dispatched following a call for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a male victim walking down the roadway covered in blood and visibly disoriented. Deputies said the man appeared to have been brutally assaulted.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for incapacitating injuries sustained during the ordeal.

Details of the Assault and Kidnapping

Detectives responding to the scene began piecing together the victim’s account of the events leading up to his discovery. According to investigators, the victim had met with a man later identified as Corban Koster, 18, of Paducah.

During the encounter, Koster allegedly attacked the victim using a ratchet, repeatedly striking him and causing severe injuries. Authorities say Koster then stole the victim’s personal belongings and escalated the assault further by forcing the man into the trunk of his vehicle against his will.

Koster is accused of transporting the victim to the area of Noble Road, where he ultimately abandoned him, leaving the man severely injured.

Arrest of the Suspect

Following days of investigation, detectives and deputies located Koster on September 2, 2025, at a residence in the 6000 block of Greenfield Drive. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the McCracken County Jail.

Formal Charges

Koster faces multiple felony charges connected to the incident, including:

  • Kidnapping – Adult (Class B Felony)

  • Assault, 1st Degree (Class B Felony)

  • Robbery, 1st Degree (Class B Felony)

Ongoing Investigation

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the investigation remains active, with detectives continuing to review evidence and conduct interviews to determine whether additional charges may be filed. Authorities have not released further details about the motive or whether Koster and the victim were acquainted prior to the attack.
